The Stainless CompTainer™

The stainless steel CompTainer is available in two sizes. The CT-40 is our standard model with 40 cubic yards of composting capacity. The CT-40 is sized to fit on most standard roll-off trucks. The CT-40 is recommended for most operations that require fewer than 24 CompTainers. The CT-50 has 50 cubic yards of capacity and requires a heavy-duty hook-lift truck as shown above. Larger facilities should consider moving up to the CT-50 platform to reduce the land area and increase material handling efficiency.

All interior surfaces of the CompTainer are constructed with continuous-welded 304L stainless-steel for corrosion resistance and maintenance-free service. GMT’s patented aeration floor is peaked to minimize resistance to airflow and is covered with perforated stainless sheet to minimize clogging. Liquid from the compost drains through the perforated floor and is stored in a 200 gallon reservoir at the base of the CompTainer.

The exterior is a fully insulated structural steel frame covered with galvanized cladding. An extra layer of R-7 insulation is available for cold climate installations. The compost is loaded with the CompLoader conveyor through a hatch in the front wall or rear door fo the CompTainer or bucket loaded through the removable roof.
