Modular Aeration Control System

The MACS™ is a state-of-the-art compost aeration controller that is designed to be inexpensive, reliable and easy to use. A wide range of models are available with the ability to control single or multiple zones (piles or bins) and from one to four temperature channels in each zone. An optional data-logging module and graphing software allow reliable reporting with minimum effort. The MACS is easy to install and can help accelerate process time and reduce odors.

The system works by automatically adjusting the on/off time of the duty cycle to control aeration and maintain setpoint temperatures. All temperature channels from each zone are combined into one average value used for control calculations. The on-screen status and temperature display makes it easy to monitor system operation and maintain compost records. Best of all, the MACS is backed by our company's support staff with over 15 years of experience in compost aeration and control systems.

The MACS uses rugged 9/16" diameter stainless-steel temperature probes proven to give accurate readings and long service life under the strenuous conditions of commercial composting. The controller is contained in a NEMA4 enclosure for indoor or outdoor use in any environment. The relay outputs in the MACS panel can be connected to any standard motor starter or VFD, or used to directly control smaller fan motors. An optional portable enclosure containing the MACS along with a stainless-steel blower is also available.
