EARTH FLOW
IN-VESSEL COMPOSTING creates GORGEOUS COMPOST ON-SITE
The award-winning Earth Flow automated auger mixing system shreds and aerates compost while moving the material toward the discharge end of the vessel requiring little labor beyond loading and unloading. The Earth Flow provides control of odors while making gorgeous compost.
AUGER MIXING
The computer controlled mixing system provides daily mixing and aeration for the compost inside the Earth Flow. The stainless steel inclined auger is mounted on a carriage that moves side-to-side and front-and-back within the vessel. The auger churns and shreds the compost in the vessel, advancing it slowly toward the discharge end. A control panel allows for automatic operation with multiple mix patterns and programmable timer cycles. The drive motors are controlled by efficient variable frequency drives to regulate the auger speed while minimizing the use of electricity.
CONTINUOUS FLOW DESIGN
Compostable materials can be added daily to the loading end of the Earth Flow. The typical process time for the waste to flow through the vessel is 14 to 21 days. As the organic waste converts into compost, its volume is reduced by about 50-60% allowing compost to be unloaded about once a week. To unload compost, open the discharge door and the auger will lift the compost up to 3 feet and push out several yards of compost into a bucket loader, car or pick-up truck.

TYPES OF EARTH FLOWS

EARTH FLOW CUSTOM VESSEL
In this configuration, the Earth Flow automated mixing and aeration composting system is built into a custom steel vessel with a polycarbonate green house roof enclosure. The greenhouse roof provides passive solar gain to help heat and dry the compost. The translucent greenhouse roof also improves visual access to the compost.

EARTH FLOW INTERMODAL
Replacing our standard vessel with a shipping container substantially reduces the cost of the system. The floor and walls are insulated and lined with stainless steel to provide a long service life and reduce corrosion. The vessel includes the same automated auger mixing system with positive aeration and ventilation system for odor control.

EARTH FLOW SITE-BUILT
The Site-Built Earth Flow mixing system uses a locally-built vessel of your choice. Typically, the vessel has a concrete pad and concrete or stainless-lined wood walls and some type of enclosure. This design allows us to significantly reduce capital costs and provide convenient access to the compost for materials handling and process control.
