GMT provides military bases with the tools to implement high performance on-site composting while controlling odor and pests. The volume of daily food and ground waste will determine which composter suits the operation. For example, we installed an In-Vessel Earth Flow at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall that can process up to 3 tons/day.  At Joint Base Lewis-McChord we installed an Aerated Static Pile System that can accommodate up to 250 tons/day. We are happy to work with you to find the composter that fits your specific needs.

Benefits of on-site composting systems at military bases include:
  • Reduces disposal costs
  • Supports base security by avoiding unnecessary transfers of materials off base
  • Supports sustainability/zero-waste initiatives
  • Produces low-cost soil amendment for grounds/landscapes
