ON-SITE CAMPUS COMPOSTING

School and University Composting can be done right on campus, close to where the food waste is generated, without nuisance odors or pests. The size of the composting system is dependent on how much food waste is generated on campus. For schools and universities, the most popular containers are the Earth Flow the Earth Cube.

GMT has installed an Earth Flow In-Vessel Composting System on a high school campus directly adjacent to a student dining hall, public sidewalk and busy road. Across the street is a pre-school, church and residential neighborhood and this installation operates without odor complaints. The Earth Flow’s unique aeration and bio-filtration system help to mitigate and control odors. The Earth Cube is great for student farms and gardens, small dining facilities, student housing, and any other smaller scale sites.
